PBS Fitness offers a on sight gym with smoothie bar in Mississauga and Brampton campus locations. Whether you need extra energy before your workout or after, PSB Fitness offers freshly made smoothies to accommodate your nutrition needs.

At PSB Fitness, we are mindful of any dietary restrictions and work hard
to maintain a clean environment. We also provide a common lounge area where you can relax and enjoy one of our fresh beverages whether you are working out or not. 

More Than Just a Smoothie

Not only do we offer smoothies, and freshly squeezed juices, but also protein filled beverages to get you though your workout. At PSB Fitness we also provide a limited selection of protein bars for some extra energy on the go to match your busy lifestyle. Our protein bar selection consists of gluten free, vegan, and regular options.

Our beverages come in sizes small, medium, and large, all carefully poured in our recyclable cups. We also encourage that you bring your own bottle/cup in attempt to help us be more sustainable.

Sheridan Students

At PSB Gym with smoothie bar in Mississauga and Brampton we offer two different pricing sections, one for Sheridan students and the other is for the public. 

For Sheridan students, the pricing is at a bargain but for the public, the pricing is normal. Sheridan students have the advantage to pay gym fees as part of their tuition, this means that PSB will be taking a lump sum from the college for the number of students who use any service in the facility. For the public, the prices are normal because although
these fitness centers provide unique products, not all services available at other gyms are available here.

At PSB Fitness we are dedicated to providing jobs for current Sheridan students and Sheridan graduates. Whether it is personal trainer or smoothie bar barista, we look forward to giving opportunities to our students.

Diverse And Novel Fitness

Different from other fitness venues, our gym provides users with some novel fitness methods. Most of us encourage fitness users to try full-body exercise and group training instead of relying too much on and using fitness equipment. Whether it is one-on-one or group exercise. We have professional fitness instructors to guide you in professional fitness training. The fitness training we provide is as follows:

  • TRX Suspension System
  • Group professional fitness training
  • High-intensity decompression professional training
  • Professional weight-bearing training for super fat loss and muscle gain
  • Group 60 minutes of aerobic lean training

 

Affordable Fitness Member Fees

We, PSB Fitness are not only committed to providing students with the best fitness training, but also considering preferential prices for students. We consider that most of the current fitness objects are mainly students, so we have greatly reduced the fees we charge to students. The ultra-low fee fitness in HMC and Davis campuses allows students to get our other services or drink a refreshing drink after they have finished exercising. This can also help students save more money to support their own tuition expenses. Further more, we provide studnets the the following preferential policies:

  • Those who hold a student ID can enjoy the guidance service of a personal trainer
  • Students who just started PSB Fitness can try all the services in the gym for free for one week
  • For student users, we will regularly provide free fitness snacks and fitness drinks
  • Students can terminate the membership service at any time, we will not charge any additional fees
  • We will regularly provide students with a 50% discount on other services

Great Location

We also considered the students’ management of their own time in choosing the location of the gym. Many students come to school from far away, and they usually take a lot of time to reach the school. So many students don’t want to spend time on fitness. I believe we have helped students solve this problem very well. We, PSB Fitness have gyms on both HMC and Davis campuses, which solves the problem of time for students. They can save more time for fitness activities, and they can also have more time for learning.

We are the only gym in Mississauga that offers the unique experience of fully exercising with your own body without the use of machines. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the whole process and assist you on the way so you can unlock the next level of your capacity.

We are located on the Sheridan’s Hazel McCallion Campus, in Mississauga. Our full address is 4180 Duke of York Blvd, Mississauga, L5B 0G5. We offer deals to students, alumni, and athletes. Moreover, we are the official gym to Sheridan Bruins!

How are we different?

Unlike most of the other gyms, PBS Fitness does not count with common gym machines. In contrast, we combine CrossFit, free weights, unorthodox items such as wheels, hammers, ropes, etc. and a unique TRX suspension system, as a result you can exercise more naturally. Our professional instructors guide these sessions and they will lead your group through the different stations, consequently you can exercise every inch of your body.

Why stop using machines?

The creation of gym machines was primarily to provide a “safer” alternative to their counterparts. However, in most instances, this is not the case. Machines put your body in unnatural positions, consequently your joints through dangerous ranges of motion. Consequently, this can lead to muscle strain and even serious injuries. (Yeung, 2021) Most of the machines are put in a position that the human body is not meant to be. As a result you can guide your fitness journey on how nature intended it to be by doing more natural exercises.

Why exercise more naturally?

Furthermore, there are certain benefits associated with exercising more naturally. For instance, natural exercise activates more muscles than machines. Therefore is better for building muscle in the long run. (Parren, 2021) Consequently, by eliminating certain risks and unlocking your true potential, you will achieve more efficient results and long-term success. 

By performing our natural exercises, you are able to lose weight more quickly than if you engaged in an average gym workout, over a certain amount of time. (BackToMotion, 2020) In other words, you will be able to optimize the way you exercise therefore getting in shape smartly!

Viscous Vegans:

Very Vegetarians:
Indian red bean curry with brown rice. Served with cucumber salad.

What student rewards are available?

We are offering two rewards to two lucky students who meet the eligibility criteria for this reward program. The lucky winners can choose between the two rewards below:

  • 10 free meals from the food bar for the entire academic term (valid for 1 semester).
  • 300-dollar gift card for PSB Fitness Foodbar (valid for 1 semester).

Are you eligible?

We have a few requirements for you to be eligible for this reward program.

  1. A part-time or full-time student at Sheridan College.
  2.  A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  3. An interest in a healthy dietary and physical lifestyle.

If this sounds like you, then take a few minutes to fill in this google form to register for the rewards.

We need to check your eligibility, therefore, you will be asked to provide your transcript and enrollment status in the form. You can access it through myStudentCenter. Once you fill in the form, we will review your eligibility and you will be placed in a draw. This program is available at the beginning of each academic term. Finally, two lucky winners will be announced within the first two weeks of the term. The award will expire by the end of the academic term, so be sure to spend and splurge! After all, you’ve earned it.

What if I don’t get a student award?

Worry not, health geeks! We offer prices suited towards a typical student budget. Most of our meals will go between CAD 9-15 depending on meal-type and portion size.

PSB fitness will be offering a customized workout plan, as well as a customized meal plan by one of our two owners. This FREE offering is valid for the first 150 students who sign up at PSB fitness. By offering personalized plans, we can ensure that our customers can fulfill their needs with our current machines and food offerings. Through convenience between classes, a wider range of food offerings, and 2 certified personal trainers on-site, PSB fitness is a one-stop shop for the Sheridan student body to:

Most personal trainers touch on both the physical and nutritional components of working out. However, there is a lack of incorporating both within a facility. That is why we offer protein bowls, paninis, fruits, vegan desserts, halal-certified meat, gluten-free tacos, and so much more.

About us: PSB Fitness

PSB Fitness is founded by 2 Sheridan College PSB graduates Jessi and Matt. Total 12 years of working experience in the fitness field provides them to help customers to achieve their fitness goals by using appropriate advice and lecturing. During the years of studying at Sheridan College, Jessi and Matt have learnt student requirements for the gym as fitness enthusiasts. PSB Fitness ensures that every customer will achieve their fitness goals with training with us.

Why choosing us

First, PSB Fitness helps each customer to build up fitness and diet plans based on physical health indicators. Second, the customer’s physical condition will be monitored by our fitness instructors so we can change your fitness and diet plans based on your conditions. Third, PSB Fitness also provides reward and punishment systems to help our members continuing fitness processes without quitting.

Facilities and services

PSB Fitness has separated rooms HIIT, Cardio and Tabata training courses. Yoga-related equipment will be provided if the customer required it. We provide a big room for indoor cycling courses which allows 20 people to take an indoor cycling course together. Personal trainers are also available in both locations.

PSB Fitness provides low calories and high-protein foods such as poke bowls, salad and slushies for helping customers maintain their muscle levels and replenish energy during and after workouts.

Promotions

PSB Fitness Mississauga or Brampton locations provides rewarding plans for our members. Once you joined our membership, you will get free food or drinks depend on the duration of your membership. For the regular customers, they will get various sales promotions based on the seasons.

Jessi has 7 years of experience as a fitness instructor in Goodlife Fitness and Matt is a certified personal trainer with 5 years of experience.

Free month for students at PSB Fitness Center Gym!

Have you been wanting to workout but are worried about the costs? Worry no more as Sheridan College is offering the first month free to students who are looking to get a membership to the PSB Fitness Center Gym. All you have to do is sign up for the trial on location and you will get to experience a high quality gym for no cost!

Free never felt so good.

 At Sheridan we like to see our students healthy and happy. We want to offer a free membership for the first month so that we can encourage more students to workout. Some students are also worried about any first time fees they would have to pay. With our free first month you have no strings attached, you can choose to continue your membership or cancel after your first month is over! After your first month you will only have to pay $8 per month to continue your membership, you can also choose to leave whenever you want! There is no minimum membership length at PSB Fitness Center Gym and a student does not have to feel pressure to pay any hidden fees for canceling their membership.

Not sure what to do on your first workout? Ask!

We are offering a free workout with a professional trainer for students who have never been to a gym before or for students who just want to learn some good techniques. The first workout with your trainer will also be free of cost! We want to encourage people to not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. No one is an expert when they first start doing something, it takes practice and good determination to get good at something, with the proper help you will feel like you are actually achieving something and it will encourage you not to give up early on your journey to staying healthy.  At PSB Fitness we want everyone to feel welcome and feel like they are benefitting from working out.

Interested in finding friends with similar passions?

At Sheridan we like to see our students getting involved in various activities together. At PSB Fitness Center Gym we are offering various classes that Sheridan students can take part in together and make friends. For example, we have a free yoga class that runs on Friday evenings. A perfect way to end the week and wind down while making some friends at the same time!

Easy to access!

The PSB Fitness center is easily accessible to students and is open late hours so that students can get a workout after late classes. We strive to make life easier for students, working out is a great initiative a student can take to live a healthy lifestyle early on. We encourage students to visit us and see the facilities for themselves, talk to fellow students who already use the fitness center and talk to staff working at the fitness center. You can also have the opportunity to talk to a trainer who will guide you and allow you to better yourself.
